Sensonor introduce new features in STIM300 Inertial Measurement Unit
STIM300 IMU is closing the performance gap to FOG (fiber optic gyro) and it is a powerful alternative to current solutions in the market.
STIM300 is a small, lightweight and low power, ITAR free high performance Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) with 3 gyros, 3 accelerometers and 3 inclinometers.
G-compensation is now introduced as a standard feature for the STIM300. This feature allows for further enhancement of the measurement data in the IMU, and is especially important for applications with high dynamics. The overall result is enhanced navigation and aiming capabilities for the user. The feature is highly flexible; user activated and allows for choosing the compensation source (accelerometer- or inclinometer- data) for each individual gyro axis.
The STIM300 IMU is closing the performance gap to FOG (fiber optic gyro) and it is a powerful alternative to current solutions in the market. STIM300 is today being implemented in applications like UAVs, man and vehicle portable target acquisition systems, land navigations systems, turret stabilization, missile stability and navigation, and mortar aiming systems just to mention a few. STIM300 is in regular production.
